These intake manifold spacers sit between the cylinder head and the intake manifold on Toyota diesel platforms (HDJ100, HDJ80 24-valve, and 1KZ-T/1KZ-TE). Its material dramatically reduces heat transfer compared with metal-to-metal contact, helping to keep the intake manifold cooler, especially during towing, long climbs, or hot climates. Cooler charge air means denser air, greater knock resistance, and more stable performance—complementing intercoolers and airflow upgrades.

A known reference for the 1HD-FTE (HDJ100) is an 8 mm racing spacer; this thickness is a practical balance of thermal isolation and fitment. If you’re running an HDJ80 24-valve (1HD-FT) or a 1KZ-T/1KZ-TE, the same anti-heat-soak principle applies.

KEY FEATURES

  • Thermal barrier between head and intake manifold to reduce heat-soak and intake temps. High-temp phenolic/bakelite construction (non-conductive vs. aluminum/steel).
  • Reference thickness: ~8 mm used on 1HD-FTE kits (HDJ100).
  • Works with OEM or performance intercoolers and intake piping.

SPECS

  • Fitment notes: confirm port shape/alignment and hardware length for your engine family; some engines use different gasket patterns across years/markets (Toyota EPC).
  • Placement: between cylinder head and intake manifold.
  • Purpose: reduce conductive heat transfer to the manifold; mitigate heat-soak.
