Please note: the superior high-flows shown in the photos do not come included with the intercooler, and are just shown for aesthetic purpose. They are sold separately.
This performance front mount intercooler kit is a direct-fit upgrade for the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series with the 1HD-FTE 4.2L turbodiesel engine. It replaces the restrictive factory intercooler and thin plastic/rubber charge pipes with a thicker, higher-capacity bar-and-plate core and 64 mm mandrel-bent aluminum piping.
The result is:
Roughly double the intercooler volume compared to stock, and enlarged internal diameter throughout the intake tract.
Lower intake air temperatures (IAT) and lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) under load, keeping the 1HD-FTE in a safer operating range when towing, off-roading, or running mild tuning.
More stable, consistent power delivery instead of heat-soaking on long climbs or high ambient temps.
The kit is designed as a bolt-in solution and comes with the brackets, silicone elbows, breathers, clamps, and hardware you need. No guesswork.
By improving charge-air cooling you’re feeding the engine denser, cooler air. That means better combustion, more reliable power, and less thermal stress on pistons, head gasket, and turbo hardware over time.
Direct-fit front mount intercooler upgrade for Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series with 1HD-FTE
High-flow bar-and-plate intercooler core, significantly larger and thicker than OEM (aftermarket 1HD-FTE cores typically move to ~600–675 mm x ~280–300 mm x ~76 mm, which is ~2–3× the stock volume/surface area)
64 mm aluminum charge pipes replace the weaker, longer, restrictive factory plastic/rubber pipes (stock ~55 mm → upgrade 64 mm).
SPECS
Charge piping diameter: 64 mm aluminum (factory is ~55 mm plastic/rubber, so you get a larger, straighter path)
